Do they run a credit check to sell you the iPhone at the Apple Store?
I went to AT&T to get it and activate it at home but they would require a credit check before doing so. So I was wondering if the Apple Store does the same.
Is this a online credit check for the iphone 3g to see if you have to pay a deposit?
http://www.apple.com/iphone/buy/
does filling that info in and the results not mentionining a deposit mean i just can go to a store and buy the iphone and get it activated and start using it? or is the only way to find out if i have to a pay a deposit from the apple or at&t store?
iPhone credit check for existing AT&T customers?
I’ve been with AT&T/Cingular for about 5 years now, and I’m about to get the iPhone, but I was wondering something. I know that a credit check is in the set-up procedure… but do existing customers have to go through it? If so, why? They obviously know our credit history if we’ve been paying our bills for X-number of years.
The reason I ask is because my mom has really good credit, but she just co-signed on a big loan for my brother… and she already failed to co-sign a loan I need for school, so I doubt she’ll pass the credit check for Apple…
Do existing customers need to go through the credit check process when setting up their iPhone through iTunes?
Will there be a credit check if i add an iphone 3g to a current family plan?
Im planning on getting an iphone 3g and adding it to my parents family plan, will at&t or apple check my credit too or only my mom since she’s the primary account holder?
How do I check my iphone firmware on an unactivated iphone?

No one wants to give me a suitable answer for this question! How do I check the firmware if I bought an iphone that is unactivated? I can’t check it through iTUNES because it says I need to activate it, and I tried the emergency call thing and that doesn’t work.
I need to know the firmware that way I can find out the appropriate method to unlock it.
Help please?
